The Hamilton Hurricanes Swim Team is returning for another exciting season. This competitive team is part of the Chattanooga Area Swim League and Hamilton Family YMCA. Registration begins Saturday, April 16, so don’t miss out.

Young club members ages 6-18 are invited to join this fun and competitive swim team close to home and staffed by the Y’s professional trainers, coaches and lifeguards.

The league’s 7-week swim team season begins with the Hurricanes’ first Tuesday night practice on May 31 and culminates with the League’s City Meet in mid-July.

2011 Practice Schedule

Practices will begin May 31 and continue until mid-July. All morning practices take place before the pool’s 11:00 am opening time. During Tuesday evening practices the diving area is open to HCRA club members.

Morning Practices: 8:00 am to 10:30 am Monday through Friday
Evening Practices: Tuesdays Only 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm

HCRA Club Members may use the deck, baby pool, diving board and diving area during Tuesday evening team practices (7 scheduled for the summer).

HCRA will host 4 competitive swim meets during the team’s 7-week season. On these dates the pool will close at 5:00 pm to prepare the pool for competition. Meets typically run from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Please support your local team and neighbors by attending.

The Chattanooga Area Swim League (CASL) sponsors competitive swimming and diving events for Chattanooga and surrounding area pools and organizations. The goal of the program is to stimulate an interest in competitive swimming and diving and to provide a means through which youth may learn leadership, good sportsmanship and values of physical fitness.
