Hurricane Creek Pool is now the new home of the Hamilton Hurricanes Swim Team. The Hamilton Family YMCA is relocating the team to our facility for training and competitive events during the Chattanooga Area Swim League’s 7-week summer season.

We’ve worked closely with the Hamilton YMCA’s leaders to bring this new offering to club members. Our alliance provides a perfect opportunity for interested club members to join a competitive swim team close to home and staffed by professional trainers, coaches and lifeguards.We have been particularly careful to create a practice schedule that fits the needs of team members without being a burden to HCRA club members.

This 7-week program begins Tuesday, June 1 and continues to mid-July, culminating with the League’s City Meet at the Fort Oglethorpe Pool, July 16 & 17.

2010 Practice Schedule

Practices will begin June 1 and continue until mid-July. All morning practices take place before the pool’s 11:00 am opening time. During Tuesday evening practices the diving area is reserved for club members.

Morning Practices: 8:00 am to 10:30 am Monday through Friday
Evening Practices: Tuesdays Only 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm

HCRA Club Members may use the deck, baby pool, diving board and diving area
during Tuesday evening team practices (7 scheduled for the summer).

2010 Competition Schedule

HCRA will host 2 competitive swim meets during the team’s 7-week season. On these dates the pool will close at 5:00 pm to prepare the pool for competition. Meets typically run from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Please support your local team and neighbors by attending.

Hamilton Hurricanes Away Meets -- pool stays open until 9:00 pm

The Chattanooga Area Swim League (CASL) sponsors competitive swimming and diving events for Chattanooga and surrounding area pools and organizations. The goal of the program is to stimulate an interest in competitive swimming and diving and to provide a means through which youth may learn leadership, good sportsmanship and values of physical fitness.
